Does anyone know anything about Johann SOMMERFELD (1856) married to
Magdalena KLEINDIENST in the Piotrkow (Petrikau) area of Poland south of
Lodz ? Johann had a son Karl SOMMERFELD born at Meszcze 3 miles east of
Piotrkow. Karl Sommerfeld was born July 15,1884, Meszcze, and he died
recently on Feb 21, 1954 at Piotrkow. There are brothers and sisters. Don

Johann SOMMERFELD / KLEINDIENST.

Johann SOMMERFELD (Polish Zomerfeld) born 1856 apparently
had a number of children. One was Karl born july 15, 1884 at
Meszcze by Piotrkow (South of Lodz), and another daughter /
son was Emile (spelling ?) born August 11, 1886. I believe Johann
Sommerfeld was born at Meszcze, and that he himself had brothers
and sisters as follows:

Charlotta Juliana SOMMERFELD * April 10, 1841-Dec 5, 1854,
Katharine SOMMERFELD * 1848-1855,
Antoni (spelling ?) * SOMMERFELD Dec 17, 1850,
Emilia SOMMERFELD * Feb 27, 1854,
Louise ? SOMMERFELD * circa 1861.

Parents of this family are Jakob SOMMERFELD born 1808 at Meszcze
and Charlota GLAXOR born 1817 at Svusfy (spelling ?) At this point
in time they were Catholic, not Lutheran. It switches back and forth.
Jakob Sommerfeld was a balcksmith at Meszcze. A brother to Charlotta
herself may have been Samuel ? The family originates from Posen area
of old German empire. Area is presently in Poland. Sommerfeld's at
Meszcze are related to Sommerfeld's at Berlin because some of the
Piotrkow Sommerfeld's went back to Germany and into Berlin area.

If you are searching in this part of Piotrkow / Lodz area, then you
will connect further back with the early Sommerfeld's who had
families in the Meszcze / Piotrkow area. Specifically,
Christian SOMMERFELD born circa 1779/80,
Joseph SOMMERFELD (Ukrainian/Polish=Osip) born circa 1765/1771,
and Johann SOMMERFELD circa 1769/70.

I have the names of their wives also. Also consider Andreas Sommerfeld
of area just east of Lodz who was a carpenter. Lodz Sommerfeld's are
cousins of Piotrkow Sommerfeld's.
