From Hinterpommern to Volhynia.

I mention Volhynia because many people emigrated from Hinterpommern
to Volhynia. Some of them settled primarily in an area northwest of Rovno
[now Rivne], an area that included a few families that were dissidents.
My cousins' ancestral names include Glaske, Zoschke, Villwock, Bittner,
Lietz, Sommerfelt, Grieser, Maikowski, Hafer, Biastock, and Manske,
among others.
