Frieda Ottilie Sommerfeld MacMurrough, 87,
Baytown, died Saturday, June 19, 2004, in Baytown.
(Aaker, Lakota, N.D.)

Frieda Sommerfeld was born Jan. 8, 1917, in Nelson County, N.D.
She graduated from Whitman (N.D.) High School in 1936 and from
the Mayville (N.D.) State University in 1938, then taught school in
Hannaford, N.D.

She enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1944 and was discharged in 1946
with the rank of pharmacist's mate third class. She was a society
reporter for the Williston (N.D.) Daily Herald.

She married Montie Charles MacMurrough Aug. 3, 1947, in Michigan,
N.D. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by a son, John; three daughters, Victoria (Kenneth)
Becker, Phyllis MacMurrough, Rosemary Carlisle; a brother, Emil
(Darlyne), Grand Forks, N.D.;
three sisters, Clara Sommerfeld, Lakota, N.D., Anna (William) Kutz,
Mesa, Ariz., Ruth White, Cleveland;
and five grandchildren.

Visitation: Saturday from 9 to 10 in St. Andrew's Lutheran Church,
Niagara, N.D.
Funeral: Saturday at 10 in the church.
Burial: Michigan Cemetery. (Aaker, Lakota, N.D.)
