Franz FUNGINSKI
* 9. Januar 1859 in Schocken, Kreis Wongrowitz, Posen,
heiratete am 13. September 1884 in Manhattan, New York,
die ebenfalls aus Preußen stammende, am 8. Oktober 1862
geborene Pauline SOMMERFELD.

SOMMERFELD in Skoki = Schokken, Kreis Wongrowitz, Posen.

I have several Skoki LDS microfilms on loan right now at my FHC. I saw many SOMMERFELDs, throughout all the years covered. I think it was 1800-1883. If you would prefer to have a look for yourself (I recommend this, since you would recognize many more names associated with the Sommerfelds) I can give you the film numbers and you can order them to research for yourself. Do you have access to a Family History Center (= FHC), part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (= LDS) ? You can check online at www.familysearch.org or in your local white or yellow pages.

Unfortunately, I don't have enough time to search for *all* the Sommerfelds on the film for you.
Births, deaths and marriages are covered, and there are many, many Sommerfelds.
